What Makes Us Different

Results-Driven

We measure success by your business outcomes, not just technical deliverables. Every line of code we write serves a purpose.

Boutique-Size

Small enough to know your name, experienced enough to solve complex problems. You work directly with senior engineers, not junior staff.

Full-Service

From strategy to deployment, we handle the complete technology lifecycle. No hand-offs, no communication gaps.

AI-Powered

We don't just talk about the future – we build with it. AI and intelligent automation are woven into our approach, making everything faster and smarter.

How Namespace Started

Namespace's founders Madis and Lenno are longtime school friends from their days at Tallinn Real School. After studies at Tallinn University of Technology and a couple of years working for other companies, we were both frustrated by how in-house developers were often overruled and promising projects derailed due to short-sightedness.

One summer evening in 2011, the idea crystallized to start our own firm — one that would allow us to be true partners in development projects, with a real say in strategy and creative freedom for our team. It wasn't long before we landed our first collaboration, which set things in motion. The two-man firm quickly became three, and within a couple of months we moved into our first office in Telliskivi.

Our Name

The company name Namespace is inspired by the principles of the Python programming language creators, which apply more broadly to software development.

Tim Peters' "The Zen of Python" aligns very well with our mindset and continues to inspire us to this day.

Beautiful is better than ugly.
Explicit is better than implicit.
Simple is better than complex.
Complex is better than complicated.
Flat is better than nested.
Sparse is better than dense.
Readability counts.
Special cases aren't special enough to break the rules.
Although practicality beats purity.
Errors should never pass silently.
Unless explicitly silenced.
In the face of ambiguity, refuse the temptation to guess.
There should be one-- and preferably only one --obvious way to do it.
Although that way may not be obvious at first unless you're Dutch.
Now is better than never.
Although never is often better than *right* now.
If the implementation is hard to explain, it's a bad idea.
If the implementation is easy to explain, it may be a good idea.
Namespaces are one honking great idea -- let's do more of those!

We Support

We see ourselves as entrepreneurs who are part of a larger system. That's why we've put our shoulder behind initiatives that are close to our hearts.

Lapsed söönuks charity event logo

Lapsed söönuks

We've been silver sponsors of the charity event 'Lapsed söönuks' (Children Fed) for years. Supporting children is important to us because they are the next generation shaping our country's future. When a child's basic needs aren't met, everything else becomes harder. Supporting families and children living on the poverty line is a complex issue that requires more cooperation between the state, non-profits, and the private sector.

Young sailors at a regatta

Youth Sailing

We support young sailors with ambitious goals. Most recently, we backed Anna-Liisa Talts' dream of being the first Estonian sailor to compete in one of the world's most renowned solo sailing regattas, MiniTransat 2025. As sailing enthusiasts ourselves, we know the courage and organization such a voyage demands. Sailing solo across the Atlantic requires broad knowledge, nerves of steel, and favorable winds — but also good equipment. We're glad we could help support Anna-Liisa's ambitious journey across the Atlantic.
